Message from Claire Naylor

Before setting up as a Pet Sitter I previous worked in a bank for 7 years and the civil service for 5 years. This gave me valuable financial, customer and personal experience but wasn’t what I had a passion for.

Once I took the leap into changing career I haven’t looked back. Blackpool Pet Sitters is a family run business and being an active, outdoor person it’s great to put all my effort and energy into something I love and get so much back from. BPS has became such a success I was able to set up a further 3 branches in the area and continually look for ways of driving the business forward.

I am also developing my own skills by enrolling on several courses at Myerscough Agricultural College to include Canine behaviour, First Aid, Holistic care and Nutrition. I work closely with local business’ which include vets, groomers, pet shops/supplies and behaviourists to ensure I give the correct advice and referrals where necessary.

Being a pet owner myself I know how difficult, worrying and even stressful it can be to leave your pets. Care plans are tailored to the individual needs so can suit young to senior, small to large, fit to those needing that extra attention. Our services are second to none and you won’t be disappointed. Our vast experience, attention to detail and close partnership with owners means all animals are receiving the possible care.

Since joining Blackpool Pet Sitters during its infancy I have helped grow the business to suit all our customers needs. Having experience in a great many dog breeds aswel as cats and small animals allows me to form strong bonds with them quickly enabling me gain valuable trust and friendship from each.

I particularly enjoy group walks and seeing the dogs enjoy themselves and thrive within the pack. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the dogs interact, play and greet you with a waggy tail! I Have always been a natural with animals so to do this job is just perfect.

Jo Jempson

Jo is a highly valued member of the Blackpool Pet Sitter team. She has dedicated her life to many animal rescue and welfare organisations. Jo even ran a rescue shelter in California for over 10 years before returning back home to Blackpool. She is known to many local charities for her hard work, devotion and love for all animals. Her compassion and personality shines through in all areas of her work and her experience enables her to carry out her work with confidence. She definitely had a way with all the pets in our care and her vast knowledge makes her indispensible.
